Self-Esteem Building Group

This ten-week self-esteem building group is an instructional group that aims to create a supportive and empowering environment where children can develop a strong sense of self-worth and confidence. The skills training and practice exercises taught in this group will assist participants in the following:

  • Improved self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Enhanced social skills
  • Increased understanding of others
  • Strengthened problem-solving
  • Exploration of emotions
  • Development of positive thinking and gratitude
  • Promotion of creativity and self-expression
By participating in a range of engaging and interactive activities, children will become more resilient, better equipped to handle challenges, and ready to embrace their unique qualities. During the group, participants will learn skills through fun activities and role-play scenarios. The skills learned in this group can be applied in multiple contexts, including home and school.

The group is open to children in grades 2-5 who reside in Maine Township (or attend a Maine Township school). The cost to attend this group is free!

The next session will meet from 3-3:45 pm on Tuesdays at the District 63 Family Resource Center from 9/17/24-12/10/24 (no group on 10/29, 11/5, or 11/26). There are only 10 spots available in this group.
