Center of Concern
The Center of Concern is a nonprofit social service agency that provides housing, community, and older adults services to enable vulnerable residents to live with dignity and independence.
Older Adult Services: Case management, Medicare and health insurance counseling, telephone reassurance/friendly visits, grocery delivery, Alzeheimer’s caregivers support group, Memory Café, chore housekeeping, Senior Companionship Program, weekday lunches, educational workshops, referrals to resources
Housing Services: Case management, home sharing program, homelessness prevention, emergency and rapid re-housing, housing counseling, senior housing counseling, rent/mortgage/utility assistance, referrals to resources
Community Services: Legal counseling, income tax preparation assistance, low income taxpayer representation, financial counseling, small business grant assistance, employment and resume counseling, energy utility use counseling, COVID-19 assistance, referrals to resources
Volunteer Opportunities: Friendly visiting, grocery shopping, handyman services, senior lunch help, yard maintenance/gardening, telephone reassurance calls, help with holiday deliveries, service on event committees, and professional volunteer services like general legal counsel, medicare counseling, financial counseling, employment counselors, social workers, income tax preparers
