Maine Township Board Awards FY 25 Agency Grants

At the December meeting of the Maine Township Board, the Board of Trustees awarded 29 local nonprofit agencies with grant allocations to facilitate growth within their organizations and provide support for the continuation of the outstanding service they provide our community.

This has been a recurring program at the Township since 1987. Maine Township allocates these funds for local non-profit agencies to help address critical needs of Township residents.

“These organizations serve as the lifeblood of Maine Township,” Trustee Kim Jones stated. “Organizations like the Harbour, Leyden Family Service and Mental Health Center and M-NASR are doing an outstanding job serving vulnerable populations in our community,” Trustee Jones further elaborated.

A full listing of all grant recipients can be found at the Agency Funding webpage. All recipients must follow the application process and allocations are determined by several elements including the prior year’s amount, the current year’s request and by totaling the averages of the board member’s and key Township employees’ individual determinations.

To be eligible, agencies must meet all basic eligibility requirements below, formally apply and present at an agency funding hearing. Applications for 2026 will be available for submittal in early Fall 2025.
